A SUP and camp weekend trip on the river Medway from Tonbridge to East Farleigh
Day 1
Meeting point: Tonbridge Swimming Pool car park, 10.30am
The group will paddle the 8 miles to Yalding; encountering canoe shoots, locks and stunning scenery along the way. Led by our experienced coach you will learn about safe passage of all the obstacles whilst having maximum fun along the way.
Saturday night : British Canoeing’s Marlin wild campsite on the bank of the Medway with EA toilet and shower facilities 2 mins walk away. You can carry your lightweight camping kit on your board or pre-place your tents and equipment at the campsite first thing Saturday morning. With a fire pit, picnic benches and covered seating area the evening is sure to be social!
After breakfast Sunday morning : pack up and after an opportunity to play on the moving water - flows and small waves at Yalding, paddle the 6 miles to East Farleigh, negotiating the canoe pass at Teston along the way.
4pm : Estimated finish time at East Farleigh Lock
Own wet suits if required (we do not supply these). Please bring your own tent, sleeping bag, packed lunch and water, plus money for dinner and breakfast. Joining Instructions will be sent out on booking with further detailed information and suggested kit list.
