SUP Introduction to Moving Water 25 August 2024
This SUP Introduction to Moving Water session is suitable for SUP Paddlers that are comfortable on flat water and now want to progress onto moving water skills.
Location: River Medway at Yalding on a static site
Time: 10.30am-2.30pm
You will first look at the theory of how water moves before then venturing onto the river to practice working in and out of the flows. If conditions allow you will be introduced to surfing small waves and other river features. This session will be led by our experienced White-Water Coach who will keep you safe and get the best out of you.
Helmets, Buoyancy Aids, QR Belts & Leashes and water footwear are mandatory. (Helmets & BAs can be provided on request). Drysuits or Wetsuits & Cags recommended for winter sessions.

Minimum age 16 . No novices.
Own dry/wet suits are required (we do not supply these). Please bring your own packed lunch & hot drinks.

Paddlecraft: STAND UP PADDLEBOARD (we supply the craft or you can bring your own)

Minimum of 3 participants for the course to run, maximum 6 places.
Paddlers will need to provide own transport, lunch and drinks

Note: Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the carpark adjacent to the centre (it takes coins or you can download the RINGO app), metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade (free of charge over the Winter months, subject to change).
