Time: 9am -1pm (4 hrs) Maximum 6 Paddlers

This Course is designed to introduce you to Paddleboarding in the coastal sea environment. It will explain the different factors that affect the paddler on the sea, look at the planning of a sea session, websites to use and discuss the preparation and equipment required. Practical aspects of the course will include: Launching and landing on a beach, paddling on the sea, paddling positions, appropriate and effective rescues on the sea. It will also include a falling session and what to do in an emergency.
Paddlers need to have a good and efficient forward paddling technique and ideally have attended the SUP Pool Rescues Session. A wetsuit and shoes are recommended for the course and buoyancy aids will be worn .
Minimum 3 paddlers required to be able run this course
Note; The Course is subject to appropriate conditions and may be cancelled or postponed if water or weather conditions are not deemed suitable by the coach on the day.

Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the car park adjacent to the centre, metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade.
