See below for full details of what the starter course entails:

• Paddleboards (we supply the craft or you can bring your own)

• The course takes place on The Royal Military Canal located between Hythe and Seabrook.

• Minimum of 3 participants for the course to run, maximum 8 participants.

• Arrive 15 minutes before the session time to get kitted out (we provide all the equipment)

• There are basic changing facilities on site.

• Paddlers will need to bring your own lunch and drinks

10am-5pm - Covers 'Start Award'

Safe lifting and carrying techniques

Set up of SUP, personal dress and buoyancy options

Launching and embarking in different situations

Paddling posture, Laying, Sitting, Kneeling & Standing

Intro to forward and backwards paddling

Turning and fun stuff

Moving sideways

Introduction to efficient forward paddling

Falling off and getting on

Note: Our Centre is located on Prince’s Parade, and is in view of the seafront. If driving from Folkestone, turn left onto Prince’s Parade and Seapoint will be the second turning on your right, the car park is signposted. There is pay and display parking in the car park adjacent to the centre, metred parking is also available on Prince’s Parade.
