TEMPLATE - Wildlife Safari
An opportunity to view the wildlife along the Royal Military canal from Canadian open canoes or bell boats. Enjoy a gentle paddle, with frequent stops to observe the wildlife, this tour provides an introduction to the wide array of plants and animals that frequent the water and banks of this unique waterway.
Date and time : Tuesday 13 August, 1-4pm
Location: Royal Military canal between Seabrook and West Hythe.
Wildlife we hope to see: fish, mute swans, grey herons, cormorants and if we’re lucky we may catch sight of a kingfisher and water vole. As with all wildlife, nothing is guaranteed but we have chosen the best time of year to set out on the canal for this wildlife safari.
Our tour will be accompanied by wildlife expert, Stephanie, from the Romney Marsh Countryside Project.
This 3 hour Seapoint trip starts at midday from the centre. Please book in advance if you wish to join us.
